The England manager Criticizes Wembley Fan Atmosphere Despite Comfortable Win Over Wales.

The England head coach expressed his disappointment that the England team did not enjoy more support from the Wembley spectators during their commanding friendly win against Wales on Thursday night.

The manager was satisfied to see his side showcase their winning momentum, with strikes from Morgan Rogers, Watkins, and Saka inside the first 20 minutes settling the match. Yet, he was displeased with the energy at the national stadium.

“We had limited sessions to prepare against a drilled team and we did very well,” the coach stated. “We could have been 5-0 up at half-time. We missed the fourth and fifth ones. There was little noise. There was no any energy from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“How much more can you give in 20 minutes? We didn’t let them get away. If you hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s disappointing because the team earned better encouragement today.”

“I support my words. We cannot do more than leading 3-0 in a rivalry match. I hoped for a bit more backing in phases where it is challenging.”

“After halftime, to support us, there was a bit too much backing for the opposition. It might have aided us to recharge, but that’s the way it went and so be it.”

Selection Choices Vindicated by Performance

Apart from potentially starting a dispute among supporters, Tuchel also caused a stir by omitting Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden from his team selection. Yet the choice was validated by Rogers excelling in the attacking midfield role and netting his maiden goal for his country.

“That’s his style,” the head coach said. “He is a No 10 and he is vying for his spot.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Defeat

Craig Bellamy expressed hope that Wales, who face Belgium in a crucial qualifying match on Monday, learn from their poor performance in the opening period.

“This is why I wanted this match,” Bellamy commented. “I wanted to assess our current level. What are our ambitions? What is our identity? This performance fills me with motivation.”

Injury Concern for Striker

Ollie Watkins was substituted at the break after hitting a post and is a concern when the national team face their next opponents in Riga in a World Cup qualifying match on next week.
